“Sailor Moon R: The Promise of the Rose” (1993) is considered one of the best Sailor Moon movies. The Sailor Moon series was a great introduction to shojo anime that got quite a number of young girls (and a few guys too) hooked onto anime. In the movie, Kisenian, disguised as a meteor, aims to steal the Earth’s positive energy and replace it with hate. She is able to recruit Fiore, who is jealous of Sailor Moon and Darius, and together they try to gather energy from every star and planet.
