Berekely NSU 4th Annual Culture Show

So, not really anime-related, but it does relate to Japan. If you’re interested in reserving tickets to Berkeley NSU’s Culture Night on November 29th at 7 pm please email Christine Hironaka ckhirona@stanford.edu by Thursday, November 9th. We’re trying to get enough people for the group discount.

This is Vanessa Hatakeyama, UC Berkeley Nikkei Student Union’s VP! I wanted to extend an invitation to our upcoming Culture Show this November 29th! It would be amazing if some of you could make to a monumental event in our NSU’s history as it is the first year the event will be hosted at the Zellerbach Playhouse, thanks to a generous grant from the California Civil Liberties Public Education Program (CCLPEP)!

Please join us for a memorable evening celebrating the rich culture and history of Japanese Americans. Produced entirely by U.C. Berkeley Students, we use the media of theatre, dance, video and Taiko to explore the legacy of internment and the impact it has on current issues faced by Nikkei Youth today.

Reserve your tickets! Please email our VP Vanessa Hatakeyama at v.hatakeyama@gmail.com (1 email per school) by November 1, 2006. Unfotunately, we cannot compensate ticket prices (but discounted group rates are available!), but we will pay for parking for all vehicles transporting members of your group!

Support NSU through an Ad or Donation: Please email our financial coordinator Amy Tsuizaki at atsuizaki@hotmail.com by November 5, 2006 to find out how you can help support the U.C. Berkeley Nikkei Student Union through donation or by purchasing an advertisement (business or encouragement!) in our program.
