We’re starting up weekly showings again, with the first of this quarter on Saturday, January 16. Our weekly screenings for this quarter will be on Saturdays at 8:30pm in room 200-219. Having finished up what was available of Bakemonogatari, we will be showing new series, Spice and Wolf, as well as continuing with CLANNAD.

It’s the start of a new year and we’re planning on showing you the latest and greatest in Japanese animation.

Come stop by our booth at the Activities Fair in White Plaza on Friday 9/25 between 12-4pm.  We will also be at AANSOC’s We Are Family Marketplace at the Old Union on Saturday 6/26 between 2-4pm.

Our weekly screenings this year will be on Saturdays at 8:30pm in room 200-219.  That is part of the Main Quad in the History Corner (northeast corner). Map

We will be having our last weekly showing of the school year today at 8PM in room 200-305 in the History Corner. We’ll be wrapping up Kannagi as well as Code Geass. Two weeks ago, we showed Tears to Tiara as the random.

Stanford University Nikkei (undergrad Japanese club) and Stanford Japanese Assocation (grad Japanese club) will be holding a Japan Day event from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday, May 9, in the Bechtel I-center. Activities include demos of flower arranging, taiko, tea ceremony, various musical performances, food, and cultural aspects like yukata and calligraphy. People interested in Japanese culture are invited to attend.

Afterwards, from 5pm to 7pm in White Plaza, the Taiwanese Cultural Society will be holding their annual night market event with various activities and food. Stanford Newtype will be there with a booth for DDR. Please swing on by if you have the time.
